the South African Way

Lee and Caryn van Deventer

My hubby and I are two South African's who met each other in the state of Utah...of all places. Then to top it off we were blessed to win a greencard! . Miracles happen! So now we get to stay and experience life in a new and exciting place, with different adventures and blogging all about it!

The end is in sight...

The leaves are almost finished turning and so I come to the long awaited end of my university career at BYU.  Today I had the momentous opportunity of applying for graduation! I am so excited to finally be down with all the assignments school has to offer.  That cap and gown could not come sooner.

As for lee he is in Georgia right now on a business trip, but in his case I don't think the year could come to a close sooner enough. He is just so busy right now with work and all the traveling. He has been home for a whole 4 days this month, but the upside is that he is seeing a lot of the US.

I was lucky enough to have him home for Halloween weekend! Although we missed the Halloween party by oversleeping during our afternoon Sunday nap (haha). Thankfully our friends forgave us and Lee was thrilled that he no longer had to dress up in costume.  We did get the chance to take some pics of the awesome sunset from our apartment.

It is seriously a beautiful view and we are so lucky to enjoy it every day!

So right now we are looking forward to Thanks-giving weekend. It is one of my favorite American holidays cause I think it is simply an excuse eat a lot of great heart warming food all day long! And secondly it will be on Lee's birthday!
