The month of September was a busy one. I was invited to interview at the University of Utah so that meant it was time for a shopping excursion. I was invited to interview there very early in the interview process, which is a positive sign so we are holding thumbs.
But back to the shopping: Lee helped me choose a very professional looking suit. My first suit ever! Of cause it was a skirt suit because I didn't want to look too manly and then we matched it with a fashionable blouse underneath the jacket. It looked superb! Unfortunately my one interviewer wasn't really the girlie girlie type so I am not sure if my famine outfit with my pearl earrings won her over, but what can you do.
After the interview I came rushing back and started boxing up our apartment! Turns out we had to move that weekend. What can I say: "When it rains it pours." Thank goodness Lee and I don't have that much stuff, although I am sure Lee will disagree with that statement, I personally don't think we have that much junk and have enjoyed putting all my ornaments and decor around the new place. Since then mom and dad have gotten all comfy and settled and decided to try out their new 3D TV. Of cause Lee and I found it rather funny when we walked in to find them sporting their new fancy 3D glasses, and had to snap a pic!
This is how our new lounge looks.
Other than that we had to sell lee's second love (See Picture Below for Reference), because it was a rear-wheel car and we didn't think it would make it up the new drive way with the ice and snow. It was sad since I had enjoyed driving it with the roof off and lee enjoyed getting the back end out. It was a fun car to have for a couple of months and we got to check off one of lees dream cars off the list.

| Lee's Second Love aka my birthday gift... |
Lately we have been hanging out with one of Lee's friends and his wife. They are a great couple, Lee gets to play with all the electronics with Richard and I get to have a craft buddy. It's a perfect match.
| Richard and Christie |
Craft project number 1: Making cinnamon wreath's for fall.
I think it turned out great and I am excited for project number 2. Christie and I are thinking about pumpkin craving and hopefully we will get the boys in on the fun.
On top of all this lee has been super busy with my dad as they have been fixing things around the house. One of their biggest projects was the garage. They did the floor and the walls and it looks great. Here are some of the before pics and the afters will follow soon.
Just to let Grandad know: Mom and I tried the ice-cream recipe of yours in my new mixer and it was actually really good. We will have to get better at adding flavors as mom and I just added some m&m's, but definitely a recipe worth keeping. Yum
So to sum it up: I am stilling waiting to hear back from the University of Utah so everyone hold thumbs. 2. Lee and I are off to Georgia soon to visit Paige, we can't waiting to see you. 3. We finally got lee to let us snap some pics today and hopefully we will do some in Georgia too.

Two things:
ReplyDelete1. Congratulations on the interview!
2. I miss you. And I love that you blogged again. Do it more often :)
