Trip to Georgia

Lee has been traveling constantly lately so he is pooped, but luckily I was able to meet him in Georgia after one of his long work weeks for a fun weekend. Overall it was a blast! And we were able to meet up with one of my best friends Paige, who is now living back in her home state.

We had a bit of a rough start to the trip as some rude individual decided to break into our rental car. Typical. It was Friday and we were sitting in the hotel lobby while Lee finished up his work day, and a gentleman politely asks us if we are parked outside. Turns out someone had walked up to the car and used a nail spring to smash the window and then ripped off the car alarm. Thank goodness they only grabbed the GPS, which was packed away in the cubby, as all our luggage was in the car. So with that less than pleasant start to the weekend we decided to turn in the rental and have the local fetch us. In comes Paige and the trip took a turn for the best.

Our first stop was at Stone Mountain State Park, which was beautiful with all the fall colors on the trees, but the best event of the night was the decision to visit Constantine's restaurant. If you have watched the lastest show of the bachelorette you will know who I am talking about. If not, he was one of the bachelor contestants who took Ashley on a home town date to his restaurant. The food was sub par just as our local had claimed, but we weren't disappointed with our mini-celeb visit as Constantine was at his family restaurant wearing a casual blue polo.

Since Paige informed the waitress we were there to see Constantine, we expected a little visit at our table so we could impart all our shrewd business ideas for his quaint family restaurant with family photos on the walls, but we had a movie to catch and couldn't wait for him to come around.

The next day was another success in down town Georgia. The Atlanta Aquarium was our first stop. Its one of the biggest in the USA, and since Lee and I love the ocean it was a necessary stop.

Whale Shark Tank
Next stop was the Coca-Cola Museum, which ended up being a gem to the trip as they have a tasting room. The tasting room has Coca-Cola products from all over the world, which meant I was posted up at the sparletta station. It reminded me of sitting on the beach in Mozambique, yum!

Getting prepped for our 4-D movie at the Museum
We ended our trip off by eating at the only South African Restaurant in the US, called 10 Degrees South. The biltong and Grapetizer's made the trip just that more worthwhile!
Thanks for the great time!

P.S. Mini is growing so quickly. She is 12 weeks today and exactly 3lb, which means she has more than doubled in size. Pics to come soon.
