...But the days are so delightful as 2010 comes to a close.
I am sorry to say I have been slightly neglecting this blog this semester. I have been in an English class, which required me to keep a blog, so this one seemed to take the back seat for a little while. In an effort to make up for this, I have recently published some posts from that my English blog onto this blog, in the hope that you will get some enjoyment out of them.
I think that one of the funniest things we have enjoyed this season, is watching Pickles adapt to the snow. We quickly realized that she is not quite so sure what to do about the fact that the grass is very often hidden under a white blanket. She tries to walk on top of it, but as she steps up and forward with her front legs and then slow shifts her weight, she sinks, and then gives it another go. It is rather amazing to watch, but of cause my mom felt so sorry for that she decided to kit her out. So pickles now has a bright red coat and pink booties so her paws don't freeze, the only problem seemed to be figuring out how to walk in them...
The pictures simple do not do it justice! My dad was laughing so hard he couldn't hold the camera steady enough to take them.
Christmas Eve meant we were fortunate enough to have Geraldine grace us with her presence! I think she has finally decided to unpack her clothes and leave them in one place.
This Christmas was definitely a special one as it was a first for us as husband and wife. A lot of sneaking around happened in order to organize all the gift. It was also nice to have my parents here and not have to deal with airport delays due to weather.
We decided to carry on the tradition that my family has, to open one present on Christmas Eve, because seriously who can resist waiting a whole extra sleep. Christmas morning came; the tree was set with all our gifts, and our stockings were stuffed, which meant it was time for my mom to be Mrs. Clause and start the dishing out the gifts to the right person.
We were all very pleased with our paraphernalia that we had just unwrapped, scrunching the shiny paper and big bows of ribbon.
Later that day, we all visited Judy and Andre for a fabulous Christmas dinner. The food was so good that we were then ready for a nap soon after!
So from the both of us, we wish you all a great 2011 and hope it brings with it a lot of happiness and success.
